Case Meeting the Requirements of UL94 - V0.
The American organisation of Under-writers Laboratories have defined a certain set of safety requirements, which make the use of various plastic and engineering material safe in various applications. One of these very important standard is UL 94 V- 0, which measures the inflamability of the material. traditionally, all plastics materials were highly inflamable and would actively support burning. electrical equipment is subject to sparks and this inflamability could be disastrous when it result in fire. Hence, after considerable research, the plastic manufacturers have come up with a special engineering plastic, which is nonflammable.

This does not mean that they are flame proof but it only means that they do not support burning. They burn but they do not support burning. The test of this is done with a strip of specified dimension of the specified material. A flame is applied where it can starts burning. As soon as flame is removed, it is supposed to extinguish itself within ten seconds. The material polycarbonate has been tested to meet this requirement of UL 94 V-0. We use only polycarbonate material for all the housing which besides being flame-retardant and non drip; it means that even if it is put in a flame for a considerable amount of time, it does not drip burning particles and there is no danger to the equipment below meters of some plastic material breaking apart and falling on some other equipment. |

Red Pointer Assembly (Optional)
Conventional method of setting limits for monitoring is to mark dials on limit points in different colours. The user cannot change the limit points.We have overcome this limitation by introducing "The Red Pointer Assembly", where user can adjust the Red Pointer to set the requirement limit point.
